Tag It On #23 - Face to Face

This is not a very good photograph, I am so missing my scanner! Our computer has been out of commission for several weeks now so I cannot scan or print. When I think of all the times I cursed my scanner...

This was a very interesting challenge from Frankie at DragonsDream. The Tag It On challenge is called "Face to Face." We were to use a piece of background paper we had created with alcohol inks and then stamp faces all over it; we could then use markers to colour any parts if we wanted.

My background was done using two colours of blue inks, its a little hard to distinguish in the picture. When I stamped the faces onto it, it was then in the ugly stage...you know that stage that creations go through but usually manage to come out on the other side...hopefully,hee, hee.I then took some old paper distress ink and added some text and crowns and suddenly it had life!

I'm so glad Frankie came up with this, the process was revealing. Hope your challenges are interesting today - cheers!

Tag It On - Autumn

Tag It On challenge #21 is 'Autumn.' I love this time of year, it is crisp and cold at night but sunny during the day and the leaves are all turning colour. We are having a spectacular fall this year. I used distress inks on glossy paper to create the background. The bird, maple leaf and quote are from Stampin'Up and the face is Rubber Stampede. Text It To Me - Purple

The Tag It On challenge this week at Dragon's Dream is Text It To Me - Purple. Silver embossed Inkadinkadoo stamp with concord grape Distress ink. Looove purple! Cheers!

Tag It On - Up, Up and Away

The Tag It On Challenge #19 is "Up, Up and Away..." It is just about the start of the rainy season in Vancouver, and that season lasts about ten months, so thoughts of umbrellas and escapes are on the horizon. It is lovely here today though; hope there is sunshine and no thoughts of umbrellas where you are. Cheers!

The challenge this week for Tag It On is Bookmark It. Any theme, any colour but it must be the shape of a bookmark. This perfect quote is from Quietfire Design. Tag It On - Strictly For the Birds

Strictly for the Birds is the challenge today at Tag It On. I spent so much time making an extremely bright background that I got a bit burnt out by the time I got to the image - could have been the colours I chose? Yikes! Anyway, try as I might I was not able to tone it down much so black on top was the only thing that worked. It is a bird...Cheers! TFL!

The theme for Tag It On this week is Nature's Beauty. This is my submission for this theme; I saw lots of lacy flowers, ferns and dragonflies when walking about this past few days. Tag It On - Time Flies

The Tag It On theme yesterday on Frankie's blog, DragonsDream, was "Time Flies." Frankie's tag is very beautiful and her inspiration came from a beautiful song by Il Divo. My muse could not take me away from a whimsical 'Harry Potterish' interpretation of Time Flies! How many times have we thought where did the day, month, year, past twenty years go? Tag It On Wednesday - Spots, Swirls & Pink

The theme this week for Tag It On is to make a tag using spots, swirls and pink. The theme was chosen by Frankie to commemorate the first landing on the moon, the longest eclipse of the century and I'd say she likes pink! The background piece I made is very strong so I needed to use dark inks for the top layer. There are dots on the background, they are not as prominent as the swirls. I'm sure the astronauts felt like they were dreaming when they were landing on the moon. It was quite a special moment for us earthlings. Hope your dreams are out of this world. Cheers!

Passion - the heart song is the theme at Tag It On. This tag speaks about my relationship with my husband, Randy; from the heart. We will be celebrating our 15th anniversary in a couple of weeks; we are often called R&R by our friends. Thanks for looking. Cheers!
