She created a wonderful boot for a sample and offered some templates as well. My boot took on a Romantic Parisian theme. Thanks for looking. Cheers!

Theme Thursday - Winter

The challenge on Theme Thursday is 'Winter!' I used a section of masterboard I had created; it was actually pink but I printed it in blue for this piece. I thought this image of the skater looked so free, like she could fly. I hope you get a chance to let your spirit fly this winter. Cheers!

TGIF - Pointy Hats

I was so surprised when Sandy at Thank God It's Friday asked me to be a guest designer! I love the Halloween theme and had fun creating this Pointy Witch Hat piece. I used distress inks and my Stampendous texture cube for the base and added some Tim Holtz swirls, birds and clock to create the background. The crow is a Quietfire stamp, the cat is clipart from Gaby Braun and the witch stamp is one I borrowed and I'm not sure where it is from. I hope you enjoy making creations with Witch Hats for this challenge. Cheers!

Tag It On - Autumn

Tag It On challenge #21 is 'Autumn.' I love this time of year, it is crisp and cold at night but sunny during the day and the leaves are all turning colour. We are having a spectacular fall this year. I used distress inks on glossy paper to create the background. The bird, maple leaf and quote are from Stampin'Up and the face is Rubber Stampede. Hope you are having a lovely autumn. Cheers!

The challenge on Mixed Media Monday this week is 'Maps.' I made the frame from pieces of a map of Africa and stamped the camels onto a piece I put in the corner. I would love to go to Egypt one day to see the Sphinx and the pyramids. May your dreams take you on a wonderful journey. Cheers!

Sunday Postcard Art

Mr. and Mrs. Skullpepper in Rome for the Zombie Ball. The Sunday Postcard Art theme this week is Skulls and Skeletons. Some clipart from Collagevisions. TFL. Hope you are having a great day. Cheers!

Saturday Surprise - Favourite Colour

The theme on Saturday Surprise is 'Favourite Colour.' I always say blue is my favourite colour, but when I opened up my bit box for some collage pieces I realized that Turquoise Blue is my true favourite colour, (or Lake Blue according to this paint chip). It is definitely my favourite summer colour; this summer I did a load of my summer tops and when I hung them all up to dry I could see that more than half of them were turquoise blue. It could have something to do with growing up in a kitchen that had turquoise blue cupboards! It was my Mom's favourite colour too. Have a lovely day, I hope the sky is this colour wherever you are. Cheers!
