Tag Tuesday

Tag Tuesday Challenge #27 is another colour challenge, this week it is red, green and golden yellow. Found an old masterboard in my bit box and took this piece from it, added a bit of gold on the berries and the star for the golden yellow and voila!

Let it Snow!

Danielle was certain she would be the envy of Paris in her new coat with the fur lined hood - let it snow! My entry for Sunday Postcard Art.

Saturday Surprise

This week's challenge on Saturday Surprise is 'Christmas in Unconventional Colours,' (no red or green). I chose to use kraft, white and blue. The snowman and Merry Christmas are from a set by Inkadinkadoo. I used a blue gel pen to add colour to the scarf and hat. Tis the season! Cheers!

Sunday Postcard Art - Flourishes

The Sunday Postcard Art challenge this week is 'Flourishes.' My photo has a bit of slant to it, the Merry Christmas is not really on an angle, but this was my best pick. The Santa is from Collagevisions, tree from Tim Holtz, expression from Inkadinkadoo and flourish from Autumn Leaves. Thanks for looking!

Tag It On #23 - Face to Face

This is not a very good photograph, I am so missing my scanner! Our computer has been out of commission for several weeks now so I cannot scan or print. When I think of all the times I cursed my scanner...

This was a very interesting challenge from Frankie at DragonsDream. The Tag It On challenge is called "Face to Face." We were to use a piece of background paper we had created with alcohol inks and then stamp faces all over it; we could then use markers to colour any parts if we wanted.

My background was done using two colours of blue inks, its a little hard to distinguish in the picture. When I stamped the faces onto it, it was then in the ugly stage...you know that stage that creations go through but usually manage to come out on the other side...hopefully,hee, hee.I then took some old paper distress ink and added some text and crowns and suddenly it had life!

I'm so glad Frankie came up with this, the process was revealing. Hope your challenges are interesting today - cheers!

My first award!

Lynn Stevens has given me this lovely award! Lynn is an amazing artist, visit her on her blog, Trash to Treasure Art. This is the Making Smiles On Faces Award. I am very thrilled, this is my first award. Thank you Lynn! One of the requirements is to give 5 facts about yourself before passing it on the 5 more people.

1. I love to laugh and I am one of those free laughers, none of the little tee hees from me!
2. Love coffee! I am a coffee snob - I have my ritual, I buy expensive beans and grind them
every morning and carefully pour just the right amount of hot water through the filter, only while there is still foam, ahhh - it's calling me now!
3. And what goes better with coffee than chocolate!
4. Obsessed with craft supplies...aren't we all?
5. I love music, most genres, but roots, rock and rhythm are the faves.

Have a great day - Laugh out loud and enjoy a great cup of coffee, have a piece of chocolate and listen to some great music and of course pick up some craft supplies! Cheers!

I am going to send this award to the following 5 people, you make me smile!

Tag Challenge #26 - The Colours of Christmas

The tag challenge #26 on Louise's blog, Kard Krazy, is the first 'Colours of Christmas' challenge. This week the colours to be used are pink, brown and burgundy. I used distress inks in these colours, the brown is a little bit hard to distinguish in the picture, and the Ornate Christmas stamp set from Inkadinkado. Check out Louise's lovely example and all of the other terrific entries on Kard Krazy. Thanks for looking. Cheers!
