Gothic Arches - Paris Exposition
The challenge for Gothic Arches this week is "Paris Exposition." I love the romance of Paris. The Eiffel Tower was built for the World's Fair in 1900. Did you know that it was originally destined to be dismantled after twenty years? Fortunately it was so well engineered that it has lasted the ages. Also, it was discovered that it could be used for radio transmission and this was a big factor for saving it - my husband is an amateur radio operator and he was happy to hear this little known fact! Do check out the fabulous entries on Gothic Arches - such talented people out there! Cheers!
