Think Monday Think ATC
This week's theme on TMTA is 'Diamond Pattern.' I love the diamond as a background and have several different sizes; they can be used as a subtle addition or a bold statement. Have fun with your diamond pattern and join in the Think Monday, Think ATC challenge this week. Cheers!

A Compendium of Curiosities Week 2
Week 2 for the Compendium of Curiosities challenge being hosted by Linda Ledbetter on her blog Studio L3 - this week the challenge is 'Basic Fragments.' I was happy to see that I was not alone in opening my box of fragments for the first time! Mine have been sitting in my cupboard for months and I have just not figured out a use for them. That is what is so great about this challenge, it is making us use some of our stuff and stretching us in techniques, I just love it. I went with a Paris theme and used Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar distress inks. Thanks for looking and do check out Linda's blog to see some of the amazing entries, there are some hugely talented people out there. Cheers!

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #1
Linda, from Studio L3, has started a great new challenge. It is based on the new Tim Holtz book, Compendium of Curiosities. The first challenge is the Water Stamping Technique on page 35. My friend, Donna, from Paper Crows and Dragonflies, and I decided to make a TH technique book; we used the TH Alterations - Baroque die for our paper shape. I used Barn Door, Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade distress inks for the base. I stamped the fabulous flourish using the water stamping technique and added some fabulous butterflies that Donna had in her collection. Then, as always, a smudge of black ink was the biggest challenge of all - how to disguise the almost hole in the paper created by trying to remove it!! agh! - carefully placed words were my final my final addition. What do they say about no mistakes, only creative challenges....Cheers!

Three Muses - Time
The challenge on the Three Muses blog this week is 'Time." What makes the Watch Maker Tick? Only time will tell! (sorry, bad pun!) Hope you are finding lots of time for your creative muse today - cheers!
Theme Thursday - Bright Colours
A few weeks ago I experimented with the Marilyn Rock deli paper technique(only I used parchment paper), I then took some pieces of the painted parchment, scanned it, printed it and this is what I have used for the background here. The Lumiere paints are very bright and remind me of fun summer and tropical colours. This is for the challenge on Theme Thursday - Bright Colours. Cheers!

Crazy Amigo - Friends
This so reminds me of my early school days with the pleated skirts and sailor tunics. Thankfully I did not have to wear the big ribbon bow in my hair, probably because my hair was so fine a ribbon would never stay in! The challenge on Crazy Amigo this week is ' Friends.' These girls look like they are great friends, don't they? I am remembering my early childhood friends, such carefree times... Hope you are having a great day and that a friend from long ago thinks of you today. Cheers!
