Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #1
Linda, from Studio L3, has started a great new challenge. It is based on the new Tim Holtz book, Compendium of Curiosities. The first challenge is the Water Stamping Technique on page 35. My friend, Donna, from Paper Crows and Dragonflies, and I decided to make a TH technique book; we used the TH Alterations - Baroque die for our paper shape. I used Barn Door, Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade distress inks for the base. I stamped the fabulous flourish using the water stamping technique and added some fabulous butterflies that Donna had in her collection. Then, as always, a smudge of black ink was the biggest challenge of all - how to disguise the almost hole in the paper created by trying to remove it!! agh! - carefully placed words were my final my final addition. What do they say about no mistakes, only creative challenges....Cheers!
