CCC #11 Blended Batik

I am back from vacation and traveling and maybe life will get some routine again!  It feels to great to finally play with my inks after such a long hiatus.

Our vacation started out with a trip to Salt Spring Island where I met Nick Bantock as he was packing up his studio; his collection will be at the MOA in Denver, Colorado next month - anyone near there should put this on their 'must see' list.

We then moved on to Vancouver Island and made a journey out to the far west coast with a group of wonderful friends.

After returning from vacation, I quickly regrouped and went to Scottsdale, Arizona for five days.  A ridiculous place to travel to in the middle of summer but my daughter, Treena, had an appointment with the Mayo Clinic and you don't turn those down!

I have been not been creative for such a long time, it is hard to get into the swing again, but here goes for Compendium of Curiosities #11 "Blended Batik."  I have used Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans distress ink and Tim Holtz stamps from the Urban Chic set.

Make sure to go over to Studio L3 where Linda is putting on this great challenge - the artwork that has been submitted is just amazing - lots of talented people out there!

Have a great day and above all have some fun - I will be spending some time this afternoon with some wonderful women as we prep for a baby shower for my daughter, Sara.  This is her first baby and my first grandchild so we are very excited.

Thanks for looking - Cheers!
