Take a Word : Old-fashioned

Old-fashioned is the Take a Word challenge this week and I have chosen this bathing beauty, from Artchix, in her old-fashioned bathing costume.  These suits were made of wool, it is hard to imagine what this must have felt like after it got wet!  I am glad we no longer have to endure a wool outfit to take a dip!  Have a wonderful day, cheers!

  3. I agree, I can't imagine what it felt like --- and I can't imagine what it smelled like. Wet wool isn't exactly the most fragrant thing! This is a fun entry, and left me smiling!

  13. Charming and funny all at the same time! I like how your fish is jumping right out of his picture frame, so to speak, at your heroine. And your choice of heroine is just perfect--her expression is priceless!
I once had occasion to handle one of these old suits, and they are scratchy, heavy weight yarn, and though tightly knitted, may be form fitting. Just imagine!
    Happy Weekend!
